Are dubia roaches a good food source for my reptile?
Dubia roaches are a great food source for many reptiles. They are high in protein and calcium, and are easily digestible for most reptiles.
How do I store dubia roaches?
Dubia roaches should be stored in a well-ventilated container with egg crates or cardboard for them to climb on. They require a warm and dry environment, so keep them in a room with a temperature between 75-95°F and a humidity level of 20-60%.
How many dubia roaches should I feed my reptile?
The number of dubia roaches to feed your reptile depends on its size and appetite. As a general rule -
Leopard Gecko & Crested Gecko:
- Baby: 2-3 small size per meal, everyday
- Juveniles: 3-4 small to medium size, every other day.
- Adults: 2-3 medium or Large size, 2 - 3 times a week.
For better understanding, the amount up to their headsize will be perfect!
Bearded Dragon:
- Baby (under 10 inches long): 8-12 small dubia roaches per meal, 2-3 meals a day
- Juveniles (10 to 16 inches long): 8-12 mediums dubia roaches per meal, 2-3 meals a day
- Adults (over 16 inches long): 6-10 medium / large dubia roaches per meal, 2-3 meals a day
- Adults (over 20 inches long): 5-8 large / adult dubia roaches per meal, 1-2 meals a day
How do I gut-load dubia roaches?
Gut-loading is the process of feeding the dubia roaches a nutritious diet before feeding them to your reptile. Offer them fruits, vegetables, and commercial gut-loading products for 24-48 hours before feeding them to your reptile.
Can dubia roaches escape from their enclosure?
Dubia roaches can't climb glass or plastic surfaces. So it will be fairly easy to keep their enclosure secure with a tight-fitting lid or screen top.

I recently located Geckopia and started up the every 2 weeks delivery of food for our Bearded Dragon. The Roaches that came (100 count) were in perfect condition. As for the hornworms though....we started laughing at how new-born looking they were compared to what our baby typically eats. I will have to wait awhile and let them grow so they are reasonable treats (or like we call them..."CUPCAKES"). I still recommend this business to anyone. The packaging that came with the roaches and worms was in excellent shape with no damage. I have included a photo of what everything (but the roaches) looked like when they arrived.
They all came alive. My leopard geckos prefer to eat these than crickets.

I unfortunately received between medium and large sized dubias. I’ve notified the seller and sent the picture twice after being asked to do so with no follow up response. I’m very disappointed because I love the products, but now I’m stuck with something I can’t feed to my Dino besties.
